Thank You Teachers!
I doff my cap to teachers everywhere – I don’t know how you do it! So I can honestly say Thank You Teachers!
When my children were younger, I used to work for the NHS organising junior doctor teaching programmes. At the same time, my husband worked for the prison service.
Out of the mouths of babes...
So imagine my horror at parents evening when the teacher was surprised to see both myself and husband attend. Apparently our little darling had announced in class that “Mummy teaches doctors and Daddy is in prison!”
Needless to say the teachers had a chuckle about that in staff room!
Inspirational Teachers
At the same school, the year 6 teacher was such an inspiration to the kids. He was firm but fair and offered such encouragement to the children that some of their best memories of school were from his lessons. It was thanks to his inspiration that my eldest son considered training to be a primary school teacher, saying that he hoped he could be an inspiration to a new generation of pupils.
